Chirp Chirp-- Silence From NotesSunday's posts to my three blogs and two personal sites were targeted to Notes From The Underground. I posted the same message to all of my sites, worded differently of course, but the same meaning prevailed in all of them. The post that I made here received 1 comment. Anonymous, why would you post that you didn't understand what I was saying? Why would you want to lead me to believe that I didn't make my point in plain enough terms and fail to leave your name? Please, if you have the balls to leave a comment on any of my sites, have enough balls to leave your name so I can check out your thoughts. Reading and commenting on my posts is like having a conversation. To read and comment without leaving your name is like walking into a conversation between two people you don't know and putting in your two cents worth. I would like to know what you think. You read my thoughts, give me the courtesy of the same. But maybe that is something that I really don't want to do. Your comment said that you didn't understand what I was trying to say. Do you not understand English? Or are you uneducated? Because here I explained my position in more detail then the other four sites. My suggestion is, that if you truly don't understand what you are reading, don't comment. But if you understand the words, but don't agree with me, by all means comment. But have the courtesy of leaving your name and either a link or the name of your blog or site.
Yes Here TooIf you are not up on all of my sites, you may not know that I'm currently involved in a bitter battle of intellect with an idiot called Notes From The Underground. Because this moron has angered me, I've decided all of my resources are now geared to his downfall. Notes is a liberal who is blindly defending the rogue organization known as the American Civil Liberties Union. He has taken issue with my criticism of that Communist organization. And used a decision by the United States Supreme Court in defense. But why he did I'm not sure. The case that he cited involves something similar, but different than the issue.
Lebanon, There's Hope YetSunday, February 27, 2005 is going to go down into history as one of those dates to remember. The pro-Syrian government resigned in mass amid growing pressure both international and domestic. The government, loyal to Syria, faced growing anti-Syrian protests and international pressures. The people of Lebanon are protesting in defience of laws prohibiting such protests. The crowds vow to keep protesting until Syria withdraws their troops and ends their 16 year occupation of Lebanon.
Europe - Who Needs ThemNow I don't mean to offend our friends from Great Britain, Poland, and Italy. I'd include Spain, but they turned out to be without a backbone too. We pulled France's fat out of the fire not once, but twice in a fifty year period. When we needed them, where were they. Sitting at home, drinking their wine and bad mouthing us. And the Germans, don't get me started. The Berlin airlift means nothing to them? How about the destruction of the Berlin wall? For that matter all of Europe owes us a vote of thank you for ending the Cold War. If we had left the continent anytime between 1945 and 1989 the Soviet Union would have swallowed Western Europe like an asprin. So as far as I'm concerned, I don't think that we should be sending any economic aid to any country that failed to respond in our favor in the past 5 years. Germany is calling for the end of NATO and maybe we shouldn't oppose it. Maybe we ought to let them just implode. I'd be calling on Great Britain to secede from the EU. We need to close our remaining bases in Germany and take our money where it will be appreciated. Close Frankfurt and move the AirForce to Poland, Bosnia, or move it all to Italy. I believe the Italians and the Pols would appreciate an influx of US Dollars. And Bosnia could use more in economic aid. We could spend our foreign aid packages where it would do us more good. In countries that are friendly to us. All that cash would work wonders in Iraq. Imagine how many roads, bridges, and power plants could be re-built. And maybe we should be trying to strike a deal with the new Iraqi government. Become their #1 and maybe only oil customer. It's an idea.
Some Dems Calling For Troop WithdrawalSome Dumocrats are calling for a time-table for a US Troop withdrawal from Iraq. Giving any kind of time-table at this time will only help the insurgentcy and cost our troops lives. Senator Edward Kennedy is leading the Dumocratic effort to broadcast to the world and to our enemies, when we plan on leaving. Why not tell them our toop movements and operational plans in advance? What right do we have to tell the Iraqi people that we are going to leave on a certain day ready or not? Then all the insurgents have to do is wait it out and keep up the war of harrassment. Just be a big enough thorn in the side to keep the Iraqi forces from developing enough to defend the country against both foreign and domestic threats. We have an obligation to make sure that the day we leave, Iraq doesn't get swallowed up by Iran and Syria. We destroyed their infrastructure and means of defending themselves. And in doing so, we took it upon our responsibility to defend them. So no Mr. Kennedy, we are not going to give a time-table. So just sit down, have another drink or fifty and keep quiet. Because, if you haven't noticed, the country isn't on your wavelength. And you still are no John Kennedy.
Election Day A Federal Holiday?Today on FoxNews.com, there is a story about Dumocrats introducing a bill to make Election Day a Federal Holiday. There are a couple of problems with the bill. First, Wednesday is the most productive day of the week for business. Mondays and Fridays are the least productive. Mondays being a day of getting back into work mode and Friday winding down from work mode. By making Election Day, the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November, a holiday, the most productive day of the week would be eliminated. And to top that off, who says if you give people the day off for Election Day, if they'll leave home long enough to vote.
